TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday described the municipality of Divjaka, western Albania, as a shining example of the transformation Albania is going through under the government’s urban renaissance program being implemented across the country.
Addressing supporters during a June 30 election campaign meeting in Divjaka, the Socialist leader asked for the voters’ support for Mayor Fredi Kokoneshi, who is seeking re-election. Rama said he had decided to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Socialist Party in Divjaka and not in Tirana.
“Thanks to the lawmaker representing this constituency, and thanks to the work of Mayor Kokoneshi and other members of the Socialist family, the truth is that this area is an exemplary model in terms of organization, inclusiveness and the fantastic results of the Socialist Party,” Rama said.
