TIRANA, June 5 /ATA/ – PM Edi Rama along with mayoral candidate for Tirana had an informal conversation with the residents of administrative unit 3 over the morning coffee.
During the conversation, Rama touched on construction permits and the ring road project. He focused on investments adding that although the latter cannot be realized over night they will pave the way for development.
“Infrastructure investments cannot be realized over night. No way should we make investments at the expense of the future, particularly it comes to something of huge proportions as five houses to 50 years tomorrow that will benefit the entire community. One thing is for sure when properties are enrolled in immovable properties registration office, they are eligible for compensation.”
Concerning the expropriations at ASTIR, PM said that all the rest is manipulated. “They are completely abusing the situation, but people are using the logic to their benefit. They will get a clear picture of the condition with the passing of time. Most of those in protest do not belong to the area,” Rama said.
For his part, Veliaj said that concerning the expropriations of dwelling places in ring road, there are two opportunities. First when the trace translates into project, the families affected will be expropriated. Let’s suppose the ring road will continue to join the ring, it will head to Tufina, descend to Bregu i Lumit to join Shqiponja. So for all these reasons they will be either expropriated or we will save a group of dwelling places from demolition, “he said.
