Lajčák: Violent protests hinder Albania’s reforms, dialogue on resolution of political crisis

TIRANA, June 3 ATA/- The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Miroslav Lajčák attended Monday a joint press conference with the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj.

“The escalation of violence during the oppositions’ protests has become terribly boring. The riots should not replace the democratic engagement, on the contrary they waste every opportunity for dialogue and every chance to find a common ground, “ the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Miroslav Lajčák stated.

In his speech, the Slovak top diplomat stressed that, “the continuation of violent protests will harm Albania’s reform efforts and undoubtedly will hinder top-priority initiatives, at domestic and international level.”

Also, Lajčák emphasized that, “the only way to find a solution to the political crisis is through constructive dialogue.”//a.i/
