TIRANA, May 16 /ATA/- Programme for Tourism Development in four components is aimed at boosting development of quality and sustainable tourism in the areas of Berat, Korçë, Fier and Shkodra.
Implementation of the programme will have an impact on tourism, competition but also on development of local economies and creation of jobs.
After a number of successful investment projects in the field of tourism, the Albanian Development Fund will implement another important project for tourism development which is funded by EU and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Tourism is an important source of job creation for local economies but also economy at national level. Investments in tourism have increased significantly in the last couple of years also reflected in the increasing number of tourists.
Tourism Development Program, which has a duration of 4 years (December 2018 – December 2023), in its four main components, aims to promote the development of quality and sustainable tourism in the areas of Berat, Korça, Fier and Shkodra.
