TIRANA, May 10/ATA/- Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj held a consultative meeting on Friday on amendments to the Penal Code.
The amendments answer to wide range of issues. Thus, the Penal Code gives answers to issues like the use of weapons and explosives without permission of the relevant state organs, the organization of unlawful lotteries, the blocking and obstruction of road traffic, violence against doctors and trafficking of persons with a focus on children.
Lleshaj said that, “What is noteworthy is the margin of punishment ranging from zero to a very high level of punishment, even years of imprisonment.”
According to the minister, the amended Penal Code makes it difficult to create space for inappropriate measures against the responsible persons who have committed such acts./a.g/p.s./
