TIRANA, May 9/ATA/-“On June 30, the election day, no one will have the right or chance to undermine the integrity of a process which is the core of the country’s democracy”, stated today Minister of Interior Sandër Lleshaj during a meeting with members of the Task Force, the prefects, heads of local police stations and heads of border units on measures and fight against cultivation of cannabis.
“The electoral campaign for the local elections of June 30 has almost begun and all the law enforcement agencies are responsible for ensuring an electoral process in accordance with the law”, stated the minister.
Lleshaj emphasized the role of the police in guaranteeing a safe environment while being beyond any political commitment and the sides.
Lleshaj emphasized that no one can hurt the process because it is the right of the citizens.
The minister also spoke about fight against cannabis saying that the work of the police will be evaluated by concrete results.
Speaking in regard to fight against organized crime, Lleshaj demanded commitment of all the relevant structures so that the country meets all safety standards./p.s./
