TIRANA, May 7/ATA/-The EU ambassador to Albania Luigi Soreca stated that it is high time for the political parties in Albania to find a compromise.
Speaking in an interview to DW radio, Soreca said that, “Everyone must take a step forward and enter a dialogue because it is in the best interest of the Albanian citizens”.
Soreca also highlighted that 93% of the Albanians want to join the EU. “Therefore, the political parties should find a compromise”.
Speaking about Albania’s justice reform, Soreca emphasized that 79% of the Albanians believe that it is the proper thing to be done and only 13% of the citizens believe that it is not going in the right direction.
Soreca appreciated that, “Justice Reform has been one of the most important reforms that Albania has undertaken”.
The EU ambassador also highlighted some results of Albania’s justice reform. “Two Council have already been set up, 130 prosecutors and judges have been vetted, 25 candidates for the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crimes Structures SPAK are due to be elected and members of the Constitutional Court will be elected soon. Thus, the justice reform is going ahead and it is irreversible”./gj.mima/ /a.g/p.s./
