“My Embassy” platform launched/ Cakaj: Linking bridge with citizens

TIRANA, May 6 /ATA/ – By A.Fortuzi/- Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, presenting the platform “My Embassy” has emphasized that now Albanians in every corner of the world have the embassy in their hands, as this application streamlines diplomatic services by democratizing them.
Minister Gent Cakaj said that this month we expect to receive a positive and unconditional recommendation for the final destination, EU.

“The data published today by the European Union delegation in our country are important indicators for the overall situation of Albanian society. According to the data, over 90% of Albanian society supports the ambition for the country’s EU integration. This support is higher in percentage that any political party has ever received, “said Cakaj.

“The delegation’s data show another fact that Albanians think of Europe as a process, just as the EU integration process is. So the EU is not thought of as a final destination, but a slow transformation process, “Cakaj said.
Introducing the platform “My Embassy”, Cakaj said that it is important for digitalization and accountability with the general public, for the major goals of everyday life of Albanian citizens as a whole. ”
According to Cakaj, there are three main reasons why this application is important. “First, this application contains full information on the structure of diplomatic and consular coverage of our country around the world. It provides the necessary information for every Albanian, no matter their location in the world. So, ‘My Embassy’ is not just a passive system, instead it is an active and dynamic system that serves as a liaison between the diplomatic communication of the diplomatic centres of Albania and its citizens, “he said.

In the light of the Week of Europe, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has launched ‘AMBASADA IME’ (My Embassy) application. This is a platform and an application, one more bridge in direct communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Albanian citizens in Albania and abroad.
