Parallel agenda against justice reform

TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/-Albania’s Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj said today to the Parliament that the draft law “On organization and functioning of the judicial police” is very important in context of implementation of the justice reform.

The law is another step toward consolidation of the investigation process which during the last 3 decades has experienced numerous oscillations because being separated into several hands it couldn’t be an integrated, consolidated and intact process, said the minister.

The minister said that the law to be approved today gives a sustainable answer to the problem helping in consolidation of the investigative process and creating the conditions for the investigation process to be an integrated process.

Lleshaj added that the law creates opportunities of more cooperation between the State Police and the Prosecution Office.

Lleshaj drew the attention to attempts of creating a parallel agenda where a part of the political class casts mud on everything, but says nothing about the justice reform./j.p/p.s./
