TIRANA, April 19 /ATA/ – “I give the highest mark to State Police in this case. Whatever the attack for this case, it is not the police that should be held to account, police have responded in the best possible way,” Minister of Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, stated in connection with the armed robbery in Rinas airport.
Lleshaj said that the robbery will be brought to light very soon thanks to the evidence gathered by State Police at the scene.
“I have said that the structured group will be dismantled, because one of its members was killed in the act. It is a big supposition for a minister to poke his nose into the investigation file. First, it is not allowed, secondly I am not interested from my personal perspective. My curiosity consists in other directions. I cannot say for sure who killed Admir Murataj, it will be established during the investigation. His murder is unknown as long as the investigation has not come to an end. With due respect for the journalists, I have seen such a malicious discussion about this incident going as far as digging into details such as who was the policeman that killed the robber. I am confident that the armed robbery will come to light and the perpetrators will be arrested thereafter.
According to minister Lleshaj, the Chinese concessionaire in Rinas airport has failed in guaranteeing security inside the airport perimeter.
“The concessionaire bore delegated responsibility written into our law that it was responsible for security inside the zone taken on concession. “
