TIRANA, April 16/ATA/-The Albanian Helsinki Committee highlighted in its annual Report 2018 that the vetting process of the judges and prosecutors has yielded the first concrete results.
The Report emphasized that during monitoring of the sessions held by the Independent Qualification Commission and the Special College of Appeal, it has been noticed that the process has been open, transparent although in some sporadic cases there have been double standards applied.
Hence, “The vetting practice needs to get consolidated”.
According to the Albanian Helsinki Committee, “The re-evaluation process has focused in most of the cases in the wealth criterion and failed to take properly into account even the other two criteria: evaluation of the figure and professional skills”./a.g/p.s./
