TIRANA, April 16/ATA/-Tirana Municipality has fulfilled another promise to the students in context of the government Pact with the University.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Tirana Municipality presented today the model of the Student’s Card that will be distributed soon to the students.
Mayor Erion Veliaj said that Tirana Municipality met this obligation in record time.
He reminded that the Student’s Card was an obligation of the universities, but that wasn’t done. Thus, the municipality was forced to take over the process.
“Today, we present the first two models of the card and we target that within May every student receives the card and enjoys the benefits of discount if he visits a gallery or goes to the cinema. There is also an e-version of the card through the phone”, said Veliaj.
On her part, Education Minister Besa Shahini said that the card will make it easier for the students beginning from purchases at cheaper prices and up to some services by the institutions. /z.tosku/j.p/p.s./
