Opposition protest, Basha: Transitional government, inalienable prerequisite

TIRANA, April 13 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – “No political deal or compromise will be reached at the expense of the country’s European aspirations. The prerequisite for a caretaker transitional government without Edi Rama is inalienable,” the main opposition Democratic Party leader told his supporters in an anti-government rally in front of the Prime Minister’s Office in Tirana on Saturday.

“The non-negotiable removal of Edi Rama and creation of a provisional government which would dismantle the foundations of the criminal mechanism and bring the criminal cupola and liberate the state is the prerequisite to guarantee early parliamentary elections and restore the sovereign’s right to a people’s parliament” Basha stated.

The opposition leader warned that “resistance and democratic uprising will continue day and night in every square of cities and towns across the country.”

Our pledge – Basha went on to say – “is nothing less than European and American standards.”

“An entire nation united for the sake of its children, fundamental rights and freedoms and welfare cannot be held hostage by anyone. I appeal to the State Police, throw your hats and join us!” Basha said.

Basha added that “citizens responded to the call of the united opposition and rose to what it has been to date the largest national unification on of 16 February.”

“We responded by obeying to your verdict, the greatest moral act in the history of pluralism, that is the submission of the parliamentary mandates and departure from the crime’s parliament, departure from the den of crime and corruption. Since then, the ranks of our unification has surpassed the contours of every party and all the political parties combined, the opposition coalition, today the coalition of the absolute majority,” Besha said.
