TIRANA, April 9/ATA/ – The U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs with responsibility for the Western Balkans and the Aegean, Matthew Palmer held Tuesday a meeting with the Leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration SMI, Monika Kryemadhi.
“We discussed on the current situation in the country. We shared our views with regard to the US Department of State’s report on the fight against corruption, state capture, as well as some other problems,” Kryemadhi said.
“We’re both agreed that it is very important to provide a final solution and put an end to the Albanian transition period . Albania’s place is in the EU, ” the SMI Leader Kryemadhi told the media following the meeting with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary, Palmer.//a.i/
