TIRANA, April 4 /ATA/ – Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj, in the light of fight against corruption, has drawn attention to several violations in Regional Environmental Agency Durrës, where 9 disciplinary actions have been taken, three employees of Fushë-Kruja penitentiary institution have been referred to prosecution office for office abuse and counterfeiting documents.
“Throughout 2018 a lot of efforts have been put into consolidation of anticorruption structures which consist in increase of administrative investigations and enhancement of transparency by state institutions, “Gjonaj said.
Last week Anti Corruption Task Force has conducted inspections. Following a report with the co-governance platform “Shqiperiaqeduam.al,” the Task Force has conducted inspections in Regional Environmental Agency Durrës for compliance with the law on issuance of environmental permits, monitoring of environmental permits and procurements.”
The control found that environmental permits have been issued in violation of the law.
“With regard to internal control of penitentiary system in the district of Kruja, dated 1/4/2019 three employees of Fushe Kruja penitentiary institution have been referred to prosecution office for forfeiting documents and abuse with office, “minister Gjonaj said.
“So far the anti-corruption structures at State Police have uncovered 19 criminal offences of corruption and office abuse, 27 suspects have been referred to prosecution,” the minister concluded. /a.g/sm/
