TIRANA, April 3 /ATA/- Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Bledi Çuçi said that collection points have a guiding role in agricultural production, the idea is to guide the farmer in every direction, what he will produce, how much he will produce and when he will produce it.
“The collection point holds the key to sustaining agricultural sector, linking up the farm to the market. The collection point has experience and information about the trend on demand. The collection point directs the farmer what to produce, ” Çuçi said.
“We are going beyond that, we are looking into the opportunity to fully orient the market, how much to sow, when, what seed and what kind of fertilizer to use. And then, the farmer has a guaranteed sale on market, then we will rightfully claim production growth and will not grapple with these problems, “he said.
Minister Çuçi said that the state is not responsible for sale of apples, adding that the farmers face difficulties because they do not have refrigerator capacities to store their produce.
