TIRANA, March 27/ATA/-The French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner positively assessed Albania’s efforts for reduction of the number of asylum-seekers to France.
Following the meeting with Albania’s Interior Minister Sandër Lleshaj, Castaner said that during 2018 there has been a 25% less requests for asylum by the Albanians.
He emphasized that this trend is expected to continue even during the current year.
“I received my Albanian counterpart Sandër Lleshaj. We reaffirm our commitment to strengthen joint actions against illegal emigration of the Albanians toward France. -25% less demands for asylum by the Albanians in 2018. This trend is expected to continue even in 2019”, stated the French minister./a.g/p.s./
