TIRANA, March 25/ATA/-Tirana Prosecution Office stated that according to investigation conducted until now on the Democratic Party in opposition about its electoral expenditure 2017 there are aroused some reasonable suspicions based on evidence. Thus, there is a substantial difference between the formal reports of the DP on expenditure and the real expenditure that this political subject has made.
Tirana Prosecution Office said that the DP has not reported the amount of 650 000 USD, but only the amount of 25 000 USD.
The prosecution office inquired today citizens Lulzim Basha, Gazment Bardhi, Ilir Dervishi, and Arben Ristani in regard to lobbying expenditure.
“According to the response letters from the USA and Scotland, it comes out that there are undeclared payments, i.e. the DP has not reported these payments made in violation with the law”, explained the prosecution office.
The prosecution office adds that one of the payments is made by a foreign company, the Biniatta Trade”.
Tirana Prosecution Office guarantees an objective and impartial investigation in regard to this issue based on evidence and law and not affected by media reports./a.g/p.s./
