TIRANA, March 23/ATA/-“The Socialist Party initiated the most sweeping reform in 28 years, the justice reform”, said Justice Minister Etilda Gjonaj to the Congress of the part today in Tirana.
She described it at the most important reform in the state-building effort, the main challenge as governance majority for building the rule of law and a state in service of the citizens.
“Everyone can identify the justice reform with the SP”, said Gjonaj.
“To cleanse the palace of justice from corruption and restore the confidence of the citizens in the justice system where they can be treated equally. I say, the justice reform is ongoing irrespective of attempts to stop it. The results it has yielded until now are only the beginning”, said Gjonaj.
Further on, she said that, “The SP is determined to move on the way of reform and transform the state and its institutions into the service of the citizens.”
“For the first time, we have chosen a new approach of governance, “shqiperiaqeduam” platform which is a co-governance coalition with the citizens and for the citizens.
Gjonaj highlighted that 22500 citizens have resolved their concerns through the “shqiperiaqeduam.al” platform. More than 1 thousand employees of the public administration have been punished for all the injustices done to the detriment of the citizens and many others have been brought to justice.
“The fight against corruption is the government priority. We have achieved positive results, but the battle goes on. The corruption cannot be uprooted in one day or within a mandate. But, we are on the right track together with our main ally, the citizens. The establishment of the new justice institutions will improve governance and build the confidence of the citizens in the institutions of the state”, said Gjonaj. /a.g/p.s./
