TIRANA, March 15/ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama said to the citizens during a meeting in Berat “On Municipality we Want” that employment of the excellent students in the public administration will put an end to discouragement of the best.
“No one claims today that there are no jobs because jobs are given to people as favours to friends. We have a long way to go, but it is only the Socialist Party that will take Albania to its destination”, said PM Rama.
“The first 373 excellent students are already employed without considering the geographic or family background, but simply their GPA. They are members of the public administration and the vacancies will be taken by the best”, emphasized PM Rama drawing the attention to the fact that the government took this step following the protest of the students, although it was not among their demands.
“At present, we are in the phase when all the students, i.e. their families pay 50% less university fee. The families of the students with a 9 and 10 GPA and living on economic assistance don’t pay any university fee at all and even get a scholarship of 100 thousand lekë per month”, said the prime minister./j.p/p.s./
