TIRANA, July 23/ATA/-The reconstruction of Vlora promenade in the seafront is one of the most major projects funded by the EU in urban infrastructure in Albania.
Vlora citizens and the tourists can already enjoy new public space and a 3km long promenade.
Vlora Mayor Dritan Leli said to ATA that, “Lungomare or the seafront promenade is the pride of the city. The investment changed the face of the city. More bicycles were sold in this period than during all the recent 25 years. It implies the direct impact of public works that improve the lives of the citizens”.
On her part, the EU ambassador Romana Vlahutin expressed her happiness at being in a city thoroughly transformed as compared to what we have seen a year ago. /gj.mima/ /a.g/p.s./
