Albania’s 10-year government bond yield falls to 6.8%

TIRANA, July 7 /ATA/ – The yield on Albania’s 10-year government bond fell to 6.8 percent in the latest action held by the Bank of Albania.

Central bank data show that yield on 10-year government bond fell by 0.15 percentage points compared to the previous action in April.

Albania sold 2.5 billion lek worth of 10-year government bonds, down from 2.63 billion offered at auction.

The government bonds represent a great opportunity for individuals who have no long-term investment plans and are primarily interested in making the most of their savings at a time when the Bank of Albania’s monetary policy is supporting low interest rates for the national currency.
