TIRANA, June 20 /ATA/- The operation for construction of Droja bridge, which links Mamurras with Thumana and Fushë Kruja, is well underway.
Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, saw first- hand the kickoff of reconstruction works on the bridge damaged by devastating floods a few months ago.
“In conjunction with Titan company, Antea group and Albanian Road Authority, we have enabled the repair of this bridge bringing it back to the standards. This investment includes full reconstruction of entire bridge with an estimated value of EUR 1 mln. Thanks to investment in question, this bridge will serve entire community and businesses it caters to. For the time being, we are working with a number of investors to replicate these projects all across Albania,” Gjiknuri said.
The investment for bridge reconstruction is funded by Titan company in the framework of social programs for the communities in the area. The bridge will be 10.5 meters wide; with two 3.5 meter crossing lines and sidewalks. The investment phase will be realized for a period of 3-4 months.
