TIRANA, June 16 /ATA/-In the context of public accountability tour, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri and Minister of Finance and Economy Arben Ahmetaj held a meeting on Saturday with local residents of Fier.
Minister Gjiknuri spoke about infrastructure investments in the region.
The minister highlighted the 20 kW electricity network that provides energy to all the city. According to him, in Fier are realized investments even in waterworks and canalization system.
“There will be set up a new electric sub-station and Fier will get transformed into an important energy knot especially through Macedonia-Elbasan-Fier electricity line. The substation will get transformed into an important energy centre”, said Gjiknuri.
On his part, Minister of Finance and Economy Arben Ahmetaj referred to the direct benefits of the citizens thanks to the economic reforms that the government has undertaken.
The minister highlighted the progressive tax that the government has implemented and thanks to which the citizens saved 540 million USD. Thanks to this policy, Albania has at present 630 thousand employed people.
