Karaburun Peninsula beaches, real gems yet to be discovered along Albania coast

TIRANA, June 10 / ATA/ – Few miles down the road from the southern city of Vlora lies the famous Karaburun Peninsula, in the southwestern Albania, which means “black cape” in Turkish, a fitting description especially for sailors who approach Karaburun Peninsula from open sea.

Stunning beaches and coves stretch across entire coastline. The Karaburun peninsula comprises a rough relief, steep cliffs, caves, small bays and rocky beaches, such as the Bear’s Bay (Gjiri i Arushës), Laurel Bay (Gjiri i Dafinës), St. Vasil (Shen Vasil), the Englishman’s Bay (Gjiri i Anglezit) and the most interesting Grama Bay (Gjiri i Gramës). There are all gems not to be missed this summer.

The Laurel Bay features the most unique natural beauties the Karaburun peninsula offers.

In the series of bays and coves along the peninsula make the Karaburun one the most beautiful and less explored beaches in the country’s Rivier.

These beautiful places and bays can be visited through sailing trips starting from Vlora or Orikum. Its geographical position makes it difficult for mass visitor access.
