Soda forest path, new tourist space in Vlora

TIRANA, May 28 /ATA/- This summer the path across Soda forest has been transformed in a new tourist space for the city of Vlora in the south of Albania.

Implementation of the project, which is part of Albanian Development Fund (ADF)’s responsibility, includes asphalting, installation of lighting system, construction of pavements and green areas as well as a lane dedicated to cyclists.

Meanwhile, work is under way to install vertical and horizontal signs.
Reconstruction of Soda forest path is funded by Albanian govt. with the support of the Council of Europe Bank for Development in the framework of “Works in Community IV” project.

For many drivers travelling from Vlora to Zvërnec, this path was nowhere near passable.
Thanks to this investment made since several months now, the road has been reconstructed up to the standards.

Around 5 km have been radically transformed. The cyclists will have their dedicated lane.
This project is an added value to creation of new tourist space, which includes expanding the western part of Lungomare.
