1 thousand cases solved through co-governance, 120 officials held to account

TIRANA, May 21 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Every month we handle roughly 1 thousand complaints through the co-governance platform shqiperiaqeduam.al, meanwhile around 120 officials have been held accountable for failure to respond to the citizens.

In the framework of public accountability tour in Gjirokastër, PM Edi Rama also touched on the great efforts put into upgrading the administrative services, calling them an old disease and a major concern for the people.

People come across difficulties in public office, immovable property registration office or whatever office to receive a document. We have put in place a mechanism that works for each person, be them in the city or village, be them rich or poor, to get their issues with administration fixed within 10 days.

PM pointed out that co-governance platform shqiperiaqeduam.al is an address where any citizen can go to get his issues fixed.

“Each month we handle around 1 thousand issues involving immovable property registration office, tax office, OSHEE, ALUIZNI, pension paperwork or whatever offices. The bottom line is that every request or complaint referred to the platform does not follow the traditional path of bureaucracy, instead it goes to the ministry in charge of the relevant sector.

Yet, there are plenty of cases that are not referred to the govt. but to the court, in this case it is impossible for us to solve them, PM said.
