TIRANA, May 18/ATA/ -There is no turning back, but we shall push ahead with the integration process, said on Friday Prime Minister Edi Rama in a press conference after his return from the EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia.
The prime minister expressed his determination in working to convince all the EU-member countries for Albania opening of the EU accession negotiations.
“We have taken e step forward and there is no turning back. I believe that in June we shall not be driven back by the EU summit. We shall see”, said PM Rama.
He emphasized that the European MPs positively assess Albania’s progress and the government efforts.
PM Rama said that he would continue to insist in the EU taking a positive decision.
Further on, the prime minister emphasized that the Albanian opposition dragging the country’s name into the mud will not determine the decision of Germany, France or the EU, but will nourish those who are against the EU enlargement.
According to head of the government, Albanian opposition is the first in the history of integration of the former communist countries that stands by the side of those who are against the integration. /p.s./
