TIRANA, May 18 /ATA/- Albanian banking system has registered positive performance of its financial indicators in the first quarter of this year.
The combined net profits of the Albanian banks totalled around 4.8 billion leks in the first quarter of 2018, data from the Bank of Albania showed on Friday.
Nine out of 14 banks operating in the country’s banking system have reported earnings in the first three months of this year.
The system’s largest banks report highest profit rates, but smaller banks to have pursued an upward trend over the past few years, consolidating their position in the country’s financial market.
