TIRANA, May 17/ATA/ – The Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli attended Thursday the World Economic Forum, which is being held in the light of the EU Summit and the Western Balkans in Sofia, Bulgaria.
During his speech, Pacolli stated that the regional cooperation in the Western Balkans plays a key role in the economic potential exploitation of the region.
According to him, bilateral disputes at the political level remain still a barrier.
“Our main focus should be on removing the barriers and allowing the free movement of investments, goods and people,” Pacolli said.
“A clear perspective on EU membership for the Western Balkan countries can speed up reforms of the regional countries. It is of great relevance that the EU to take a bold stand and say that the six Western Balkan countries will join the EU at the same time,” the Deputy Prime Minister, Pacolli stated.
“This will encourage the spirit of genuine regional cooperation, as the success of a state depends on the success of its neighbors,” he added.
