TIRANA, May 17/ATA/ – According to the European Commission (EC), the EU leaders and Western Balkans partners in Sofia have confirmed the European perspective of the region and have set up a series of concrete actions to strengthen cooperation in the fields of connectivity, security and rule of law.
“This summit enabled us to get closer to our Western Balkans partners, who step by step are approaching the European Union on their own merits,” Juncker stated.
“EU membership means assigning values and principles , rule of law, independence of judiciary and freedom of expression, because above all the EU is a community of values and rights, ” the European Commission President , Jean Claude Juncker said.
