Kosovo opens embassy in United Arab Emirates

PRISTINA, May 10/ATA/- Kosovo opened the embassy in United Arab Emirates.

President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi and Minister for Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli attended the opening event of the embassy in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.

FM Pacolli broke the news on the social media.

“Attending the event was President of Kosovo and other exponents from the government of the United Arab Emirates. The embassy of Kosovo in Abu Dhabi is the first among the countries of the gulf, a country with a great economic potential”, wrote Pacolli on the Facebook.

He also reminded that the United Arab Emirates is the first Arab state that recognized Kosovo; it took part in the first post-conflict action in Kosovo and was part of KFOR over a period of time.

“United Arab Emirates built Kukës airport coming to the help of the expelled people from Kosovo. United Arab Emirates have constantly helped Kosovo with building of schools, hospitals and renovating objects of the cult”, wrote Pacolli. /a.g/p.s./
