TIRANA, May 3/ATA/-Albania’s former minister of interior Saimir Tahiri resigned as lawmaker on Thursday paving the way to investigation into his case.
Tahiri appeared before journalists saying that, “I have been silent for six months hearing whatever charges against me. I could have never imagined so many charges against me: alleged involvement in trafficking, Mafia boss or crooked person. I have to face the devil’s court. I am referring to the moral court because the other one is the court of justice”.
“I am litigated by that sort of people who have stolen, but have not been punished. They say I have been protected by the lawmaker’s immunity, the Parliament’s mandate, the ruling majority, Edi Rama. I say, I don’t want to be saved by anybody or anything. They claim that I have stood in the way of Albania’s integration path toward the EU”, said he.
Tahiri added that, “I shall look for justice at the law court. I am accused by Lulzim Basha, the clown of politics, who stole and was never judged. He killed four innocent citizens and was never investigated or judged. Sali Berisha accuses me while he has done assassinations, thefts and robbery with impunity. Monika Kryemadhi and Ilir Meta accuse me and only God knows how to catch them because there is no holy water to erase their blot”.
“I have decided today to hand over the MP’s mandate until the whole truth comes to the limelight. I shall not be a lawmaker, but a common citizen”, emphasized the former minister.
He said he is going to face justice the same like he would face the clowns of politics who have stolen this people for 25 years.
“My source of strength is the truth and I shall go until the end on this road” said he./a.g/p.s./
