TIRANA, April 29 /ATA/- The job offices have taken on a new role which does not only entail the registration of unemployed people in the country.
In addition, a job seeker can head to the job office to get information on national and regional labour market, job openings as well as opportunities for vocational training and education to fit the market.
Any job seeker can receive guidance on vacancies and professions as well as mediation for employment if necessary.
Vice Director of National Employment Service, Brikena Nallbani, in an interview with ATA stated that in the light of the govt. blueprint for employment, the office jobs are re-conceptualizing their role in the job market.
The objective is to make it more inclusive, so in their regions they should coordinate all actors in the labour market, Nallbani said.
We aim to meet well-defined targets in the field of employment.
“ The job offices are expected to provide employment for around 25 thousand people during this year alone. Of course we have reviewed their role before fulfilling this ambitious target, “Nallbani says.
According to her, we have set clearer objectives for each of these offices, we have identified the target groups, because the objective does not merely address unemployment, it aims to address unemployment among young people, the disabled, Roma and Egyptian groups as well as those excluded from the economic assistance scheme.
