TIRANË, 24 Prill/ATSH/ – The European Commission’s recommendation is an important development within the countries of our region, in the consolidation of rule of law, the economic development and regional cooperation, the Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati declared Tuesday in New York in the light of the high level meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations on Peacebuilding and Peacekeeping in the World.
During his visit in New York, Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Bushati also attended a lecture at Columbia University with the participation of a wide audience of lecturers, students, as well as researchers of the cognitive developments in the Balkans.
During his speech, Albanian Minister Bushati focused on the involvement of bilateral relations, the consolidation of the rule of law, the economic development and the third powers role.
He highlighted the excellent Albania-US cooperation on the basis of strategic partnership, assessing the important contribution to sustainable development and good neighborliness in the Balkan region.
Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati also held a meeting with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator Achin Steiner.
The interlocutors praised the UNDP contribution to the development of some of the reforms that are inherent in Albania.
