TIRANA, April 18/ATA/-The Chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha listed on Wednesday some reasons why the opposition stands for Albania opening EU accession negotiations.
Following his three-day visit to Germany, Basha held a conversation with the journalists during which he emphasized that in Berlin he lobbied for opening of the negotiations of Albania with the EU.
“Opposition demands Albania opens the negotiations. The more the country’s integration process advances, the more pressure will be on the government authorities to achieve the standards; there will be more eyes watching developments in the country”, said Basha.
According to the opposition leader, the advance of the integration process is very important for the opposition battles against violation of the human rights in the country. And he pointed to the detention of Kukës citizens protesting against toll on the Nation’s Highway./a.gjonaj/ /a.g/p.s./
