TIRANA, April 12 / ATA/ – “Ministry of Tourism and Environmental is working to get the package of new incentives for agrotourism through parliament,” the head of this institution said at the roundtable with entrepreneurs in the field of tourism organized by EBRD with the participation of the ambassador of EU delegation, Romana Vlahutin.
Minister Klosi expressed his conviction that new policies on promotion of agro-tourism are a golden opportunity for development of tourism and increase of 100 percent Albanian capacities.
“ With regard to upcoming tourist season, we have a big challenge ahead of us since the large flow of tourists is associated with more responsibility by our side to guarantee high quality,” Klosi said appealing to business and partners to join a large-scale cleanup action “Earth Week” to guarantee the cleanliness of Albanian coastline and rivers.
Speaking about the project “Smile Albania,” Minister Klosi said that “Employment project of 1 thousand young people will offer throughout Albania, including every port, airport and tourism office the promotion of reasons why Albania will have to smile during the tourist season.
For the Albanian government, tourism is one of the industries that needs a lot of care and attention, it needs a lot of guidance, above all it needs more organization. It is an attempt that cannot be developed by central government alone, even in cooperation with the local government, it is an attempt that should come as a cohesion of ideas, approaches and investments from all actors who strive to act as one in this difficult undertaking.
For her part, the head of EU Delegation, Vlahutin putting emphasis on some of the issues that have beset Albanian tourism, said that Albania is surrounded by countries with a thriving tourism and our country has all the potentials to develop into a European destination like them.
Vlahutin and regional director of EBRD pledged their support to companies in this area that aim to build authentic models.
