TIRANA, April 10 /ATA/- The mayor of Tirana stated that time has come for politicians to concern themselves more with the future of young generations rather than elections to come.
In his remarks at the workshop “Misuse of administrative resources during the electoral processes,” Tirana mayor Erjon Veliaj said that elections take place once in four years, while the work to build a better future for younger generations should be carried out daily. He added that the lack of trust is one of the main issues related to election processes in Albania.
“The focus on young generation, not necessarily on the upcoming elections,” should be the mantra that each politician should stick to. One of our shortcomings in our election processes is the lack of trust and doubt about the actions of others.
The above mentioned event was hosted by the Assembly of the Council of Europe in partnership with Parliament of Albania and Venice Commission.
