Bushat electrical substation put into operation following investment

TIRANA, March 9/ATA/-Albania’s Electricity Power Distribution Operator (OSSHEE) made a 700 million lekë investment in Bushat electrical substation and plans to invest 1.2 billion lekë more during 2018-2019 aiming at putting the substation fully into operation. Bushat electrical substation in Shkodër County, north-western Albania was built 10 years ago, but it has not been exploited because of lack of investments.

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Damian Gjiknuri and OSSHEE Administrator Adrian Çela went to Bushat where they saw from very close the investment made at the 110/20 kW electrical substation.

“The company finished the first phase of the investment of its own funds focused on the feeders, cables and cabins. Thanks to this investment 2 thousand subscribers will benefit,” said Çela.

OSSHEE has planned to invest 1.2 billion lekë more during 2018-2019 period thanks to which the substation will work at full capacity and guarantee a better quality of energy supply for 10 thousand subscribers.

Minister Gjiknuri said that strengthening of the financial sector and above all of the OSSHEE as well as increase of investments will certainly bring about a reduction of losses in the grid and a better and long-term financial stability. /m.m/p.s./
