TIRANA, March 9/ATA/- The National Library in Tirana has a new European space for reading and culture, the French reading hall. It was opened four days ago following transformation works on the building and now Tirana has a new space for art.
“Wishing a good day to all followers with this view of a fantastic transformation of a ruined depot into the French reading foyer, a new European space for reading and culture at the National Library”, writes Prime Minister Edi Rama on the social media.
The architecture concept of this new foyer of reading is that of an “isle” navigating through the endless universe of reading having a francophone culture destination designed for reading, exchange of information, knowledge, but even aesthetic satisfaction.
The French reading hall has a fund of 3700 books. It recently got enriched with about 200 new titles of the most important authors of philosophy, literature, anthropology, architecture and French art of the XXth century, a donation of the French embassy in Tirana.
The building of this hall was enabled thanks to support and cooperation that the National Library had with the French embassy in Tirana, the Ministry of Culture, the French Alliance and the Faculty of Fine Arts./m.m/p.s./
