Capturing the spirit of a global night in a European city, Rama shared video of Tirana’s main square, where ecstatic fans watched the thrilling match and celebrated Argentina’s win.

Located in the city center, the Fan Zone united locals and international visitors in a sea of flags and roaring cheers as the match played out on a massive screen.

Defending champions Argentina booked their place in the World Cup final with a hard-fought 2-1 win over England. Two decisive, late goals capped off an intense and highly competitive matchup.

Through TEDA Tirana, the Municipality of Tirana aims to absorb foreign direct investments, expanding the range of industries operating in the Albanian market, with a focus on manufacturing industries such as the automotive sector, information technology, electronics, biotechnology, tech-logistics, etc.

Mayor Veliaj said that he feels happy that, soon, the first calls will be opened for businesses that want to apply to become part of the Free Economic Zone.

He also explained the difference that the new economic zone will bring to the labor market.

“Here we are talking about jobs of the future, not jobs of the past”, stated Veliaj.

The mayor said that the first companies that want to invest and become part of TEDA Tirana have already arrived, while he described this as a great benefit, especially for the local residents of the area.

“Many companies from Israel have said that, if the data center enters Albania, 87 Israeli companies that have connected their businesses with this data center are ready to move there. This is excellent news, especially for those who live in the area of Astir, Kombinati, Misto Mame and Kashari. It is about creating a job market for 5-7 thousand well-paid people, whose main beneficiaries are of course those who have it close to their home. We did not choose the area unintentionally, since most of the young couples, most of the students and most of those who are new citizens in Tirana, first come as students and then create families, live in that area”, he explained./m.m/p.s./
