The participating states in this conference emphasized the importance of cross-border cooperation in preventing illegal migration and organized crime.

Deputy Minister Hodaj emphasized in his speech that “Albania has achieved concrete positive results and is fully committed to curbing illegal migration and to pursuing, investigating, and dismantling criminal groups that promote and exploit the smuggling of human beings toward European Union countries.”

The Salzburg Forum, as a security platform for Central European countries, is based on an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Austria and values the contribution of the Western Balkan countries in addressing key public security issues.
