For nine years now, Zâ Fest has brought together the most unique voices of the region in a vibrant dialogue between tradition and modernity.

With the support of the European Union, for the ninth consecutive year, this festival stands as a true example of cultural diplomacy – where culture becomes a bridge that connects communities, fosters inclusion, and strengthens Albania’s European identity.

In this spirit, one of the highlights of the opening night was the launch of the exhibition “Living without Leaving?” – a nomadic collection of 15 paintings by young artists from the Adriatic-Ionian region, exploring the challenges and dreams of today’s youth.

Among them, Ema Bregu from Albania presented a bold interpretation of Albanian cultural heritage.

After a night full of storytelling, documentaries, and music, the celebration continues.

Two beautiful nights await everyone today and tomorrow at the Castle of Shkodra, with music and atmosphere only Zâ Fest can bring.

Speaker of Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, invited citizens to attend the festival.

“Don’t miss Zâ Fest today and tomorrow, in the magnificent Shkodra Castle,” Spiropali wrote on social media.

The festival blends modern music with cultural tradition, featuring intimate performances and high-energy shows by prominent regional and international artists, including Armend Rexhepagiqi, Rednex, MC Kresha & Lyrical Son, Casadilego, Petrit Çarkaxhiu, and more.

Founded by artist Vlashent Sata, Zâ Fest has become an annual cultural fixture, with previous editions also staged in Shkodra’s museum houses and the Theth valley.

Similarly to the previous editions, this year too Zâ Fest will resurface part of the Albanian Alps’ oral tradition, “a jewel inherited from our ancestors.”

In the hottest days of the year, the highest crown of Albanian nature will sound music and stories in the shadow of the mountain.  Zâ Fest draws attention to this nature’s gem, bringing to the public original music and stories of ancestors, against a backdrop of fabulous landscapes in the midst of traditional Albanian hospitality.

Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday invited everyone to attend Zâ Fest event in Shkodra on July 18 to 20.

Eighth edition of the contemporary folk festival, an initiative by renowned singer and songwriter Vlashent Sata, will be staged in the art-loving city of Shkodra and the event is designed to fill a wide gap in a music industry.

PM Edi Rama shared a trailer of the three-day event that will see performances by Albanian and international artists.

ZA Fest aims at promoting Shkodra’s traditions, values and cultural heritage. Earlier editions of the festival have been held in the tourist village of Theth, attracting a large number of visitors.
