Rama told the youth that they are the generation who, in just a few years, will hold an EU passport.

“Not every generation has the chance to make history. The generation that stood up and struck the final blow to the communist regime was granted that opportunity. It was this generation, together with others, who made history with their vote, freeing Albania from the closed system and integrating it into a new system open to the world,” said Rama.

On May 11, Rama addressed the young people, saying, “You have the chance to make history.”

“I do not believe that young people should stay in their country. No, they are young because they not only can, but must conquer the world,” emphasized Rama.

“We, as Rama pointed out, did not fight for Albania to be a bunker.”

“We have fought for Albania to be part of the world, so that every girl and boy, even in the most remote village, will not be afraid to dream of conquering the world,” said Rama.

On May 11, he further stressed that young people have the power to shape the future by rallying with their peers and voting, determining whether, in just a few years, Albania will have an EU passport.

Rama emphasized that obtaining an EU passport not only enables free movement but also provides the opportunity to study and work anywhere one desires.

The Prime Minister also focused on a moment which he described as the opening of a window that has never been open in such a way.

Rama said that the EU wants Albania and Montenegro to conclude their negotiations by 2027.
