TIRANA, September 9/ATA/ The impasse created over salaries in the justice system has led to a boycott of work by the administrations of several courts in the country, limiting services for citizens and judicial processes.

In order not to penalize arrested persons, in the courts there are being held only sessions for the assessment and assignment of security measures.

In Tirana Court, the boycott continues for the second day in a row. Employees and judicial secretaries of the Civil and Criminal Chambers are not providing services.

The administration of Fier Court also joined the boycott today, for the same reason. Services for citizens have been interrupted, while there are being held only sessions on security measures.

Meanwhile, in Vlora, the boycott has led to the closing of the court doors. Service to citizens has been limited to only 15 minutes a day, while no court hearings have been held today, except for cases related to security measures.

In Lushnja, about 35 employees of the administration of the Administrative Court of First Instance boycotted work for about two hours. /gj.m/a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, December 24 /ATA/ There is renovation work underway at the National History Museum aiming to transform it into a modern and worthy institution for preserving and presenting the country’s historical heritage.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today a view of the National History Museum’s revival site, describing it as an important treasure of cultural tourism.

After a long period of challenges and damage, including the 2019 earthquake, the National History Museum is being subject to a significant project involving restoration, reconstruction, and reimagining of the museum’s future.

This is the most important intervention being carried out in this symbolic institution, within the framework of the EU4Culture program, under the leadership of UNOPS, with the support of the European Union and the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sports.

The National History Museum is one of the most visited museums in Albania. The project for its restoration is an extraordinary operation, led by “Casanova & Hernandez Architects”, Netherlands, based on the analysis of a team of professionals in Albanological sciences. /m.m/a.f/p.s./

TIRANA, August 8/ATA/ Three young people from Great Britain have come to Albania where they are enjoying their holidays and at the same time they are working in one of the tourist hotels in Himara.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared in the social media on Thursday morning photos of the three teenagers who have chosen a different way to spend the summer season.

“And with these three teenagers from England who have come to work and rest in Himara, may you have a nice day”, wrote Rama in the social media.

The boys also spoke about their experience.

“We are here to work in this hotel. We came here to have fun, but also to earn money at the same time”, said one of the boys.

“We are three friends from England. We are all 16 years old. In the summer, we come to work for a month, enjoy the sun, meet new people. Yes, we love that,” said the other boy.

“I like to experience and get to know new cultures. I like to meet many people and all Albanians are very nice”, said the other boy.

They appealed to young Albanians to follow their example. “They should come to work in these kinds of hotels. You are by the beach, you’re working and it is not so bad. Meanwhile, you get money doing that,” said the boy.

“For me it is a great experience, you meet new people, a different culture and if you are from Albania, come work here, get money and also enjoy the beach”, continued the other boy.

The boys said that after finishing the breakfast shift, they have the opportunity to enjoy the beach.

“We enjoy the beach for about 3 hours, after finishing the first breakfast shift. We have the opportunity to bathe, enjoy the water. Then, we come back again and resume work. We finish work by 17:30 and then we are free to rest, go out, enjoy dinner. We work for 7-8 hours a day. The salary is also very good. I will stay until the 25th of August, after that, my family will come and I will continue my vacation with them. The other boys will leave on August 15,” said the boy.

They said that they want to return to Albania again to experience this experience. “Of course yes. I come every year, I’m half Albanian. I really enjoy Albanian food, my grandmother even cooked it for me at home, as she is Albanian”, said one of the boys. /r.e/p.s./

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images showing construction work of this important infrastructure project set to complete in a near future.

“Work continues on construction of the viaduct and the access roads running parallel to the Section 4 along the Tirana Ring Road,” PM Rama said.

The 28-meter wide and four-lane Category A road will feature also a three-meter wide emergency lane.

The segment also features a 1.8-meter wide green traffic divider and it is one of the longest sections of the entire Tirana Ring Road, which also includes a 126-meter long bridge.

The 27 km ring road is aimed at solving the traffic problems in Tirana and is seen by the authorities as a major project as it will ease traffic flows and reduce congestion-related travel delays for cars and public transport.

Its construction will ease traffic and will link Albanian capital with all exit and entry national roads, including the Arberi Road, Tirana-Elbasan highway and Tirana- Durres highway.

TIRANA, January 3/ATA/ The vocational education is the way to employment and mechanics seems to be the branch with the highest percentage of employment in the vocational school of Rrëshen “Shën Jozefi”.

The journalist of the Albanian Telegraphic Agency visited the educational premises of the vocational school of Rrëshen, where there are offered six educational programs, from hotel tourism, to the “IT” sector, continuing to nursing, mechanical, electrical and thermo-hydraulic branches.

Attending the six educational programs are 387 students. “Mechanics is the branch that has the highest demand and this is due to the fact that the labor market needs professionals of this kind. In the statistics that we manage to collect, 70-80%, who have not yet completed the 4-year cycle, have secured their employment according to the branches they have chosen’, said Luiz Gjergji, the Didactic director of the school.

The students themselves are satisfied with the opportunity that professional training gives them in acquiring a trade that guarantees direct employment.

Elektra Regji, a student of hotel tourism, said that her passion for cooking has been conveyed to her family, while her dream is to have her own guesthouse in the future. In the meantime, IT students are clear in their objective to pursue their studies in this field, while there is a lot of demand in the job market for IT specialists.

Students at the vocational school of Rrëshen have the opportunity that in addition to the practice they perform in the laboratories built in the school, to continue during the third and fourth year to hold internships at the local businesses of the area and beyond, enabling them to get to acquainted with the market and the work.

The same situation appears in the branch of nursing, mechanics, electrician or other branches./p.s./
