In his remarks at the Socialist Party parliamentary group meeting, Rama highlighted, “We have created it as a strong weapon to combat corruption within us, around us, behind us, ahead of us, in all directions—wherever it may exist. We fight it with evidence, through due processes, while respecting human rights and freedoms.”
“They have their function to perform, they shouldn’t be concerned with statistics or figures. Statistics and figures will come out in the end. What they should guarantee is that those found guilty go to prison, and the innocent are not traumatized for life,” Rama continued.
Rama also added that they are an independent branch, but this is an independent branch either.

The PM emphasized that the executive branch is independent, and enough with overstepping into the scope of the executive authority. He called out the trauma caused to administration employees through pressure and arrests, stressing that the fight against corruption and organized crime should continue. He also called for international consulting to address issues like inequality in tenders, which often end up as vague charges of “abuse of office.”
