The memorandum of understanding was signed by director of Industrial Property, Ledina Beqiraj, and the head of WIPO, Marco Aleman.

This agreement is tripartite, signed initially in Tirana between the General Directorate of Industrial Property and the School of Magistrates, represented by the school director, Arben Rakipi.

WIPO Lex is a digital data platform that provides free of charge legal information on intellectual property from around the world.

The WIPO Lex repository is organized into 3 collections, consisting of the laws and regulations of each member state or bilateral agreement, WIPO-administered treaties, IP-related treaties, IP decisions. It represents the main international source of legislation on intellectual property.

In terms of monitoring and technological intelligence, this database, which contains around 49,000 documents, contributes to having a better understanding of the legal and regulatory framework related to registers of intellectual property around the world.
