According to the press release of the Central Election Commission-CEC, the Prime Minister Rama responded to the CEC stating that “based on the summary tables of voting results on electoral subjects and candidates for MPs in the constituencies of Durrës and Vlora in the elections of April 25, it turns out that I, the chairman of the Socialist Party, have won the mandate of deputy in these two regions.”

“Pursuant to point 3 of article 67 of law no. 1010019 dated 29.12.2008” Electoral Code in the Republic of Albania “changed of my own free will, I choose to retain the mandate of deputy in the region of Durrës,” the Prime Minister Rama said.

Prime Minister Rama in terms of preferential votes has managed to get more votes in the district of Durres reaching 15,047 votes compared to 11,412 in Vlora district. //a.i/
