TIRANA, April  3  /ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, described the participation of Albanian wine producers in one of the most prestigious exhibitions of wine and wineries in Europe “Vinitaly 2023” in Verona, Italy, as a watershed moment.

Minister Krifca who was present at this event said that “it is a historic moment for us all to see about 20 wineries come together in the world’s largest fair to showcase the Albanian excellence of autochthonous varieties that set us apart from others such as vloshi, kallmeti, which are an authentic passport of Albanian wine portrayed as a gem of Albania.”

Krifca said that “producers of this industry in partnership with government programs have enabled a modern wine production infrastructure to bring not only quality production but also make sure it is typical of our land. ”

The minister said that the representation of this industry as part of the Open Balkans is a very good experience with concrete results in the development of trade.

“We had a very good experience last year in November and together with our producers we prepared a brand that we have called the vision of wine from the Open Balkan project which is one of the agricultural products that through the Open Balkan creates a new passport of a union and power that the three countries have and our producers together with other producers share information and  engage in trade exchanges of the Albanian brand. There is a great interest of visitors in the Albanian stand,” Krifca said.
