On Friday the fire has been fueled by strong winds making it difficult for the crews to respond. 50 military forces and 2 fire engines have rushed to the scene to help extinguish the fire. The Czech helicopter also worked during the day. The fire has engulfed a large area of about 150 ha and burned 90 ha covered with beech, pine, grass and oak. “There is no danger for inhabited areas.”

MoD reports that in Mount Rruna, Laku i Mollave and Laku i Thive, the administrative unit of Malzi, in Kukës the operation continues apace to bring under control the hotspots at the place called “Laku i Mollave.” The situation continues to be critical because it is difficult to respond by land.
